Waxy wildflower

This iconic native flower, the Geraldton Wax is endemic to Western Australia although it is grown in places with sandy soil across the country. It generally comes in colours of pink or white and a purple variety has been developed. The leaves of the bush can be used to add a citrusy flavour to foods and for flavouring gin.
This beautiful specimen is growing on one of the roadside verges inour neighbourhood.
