British National Time Trials

A great day. Aberaeron are hosting part of the British National Cycle Races. Today was the Time trial with four competitions: Men's and women's Under 23 and Men's and women's senior elite. It was an extremely tough and hilly course including once (women) and twice (men) up the incredibly steep 20+% Rhew Goch climb just outside the town. I took loads of photos and an interesting photographic exercise in trying to give a sense of speed and physical exertion that these British Professional cyclists undergo. I hope the main gives a sense of the speed they manage on the flat while the first extra shows the physical exertion required for the steep climb. The second extra is the celebration of the winner (Ethan Hayter) at the end of the elite men's race
