Ringlet Butterfly

A cloudy day today, but very mild. The breeze has dropped, and it feels very pleasant outside. Not a bad view over the water to Fife. Quiet on the streets, I think everyone is planning their trips away as the school holidays in Scotland start this weekend.

After work walk to Bridburn Valley Park. Spotted a couple of ringlet butterfles on the walk down. This one alighted on a blade of grass near the marsh orchids. Braidburn Valley Park was very quiet. The white lined running track put down for a school's sports day has gone because the grass has been cut. Nice view of the Pentland Hills. There was even a spell of sunny, blown northward on a light breeze.
