two banded spearhorn

There seems to be quite a lot of different hoverflies when you look closely. Only one like this today though. I always like the common names - two banded spearhorn sounds a bit fierce for this little creature. I got a lot done in the garden this morning. Ziggy only wanted a short walk. Then it got too hot so I cut out a few things this afternoon, ready to make up on the sewing machine.
