We had spent the day up to Sydney today to attend the AGM of our Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design.   Neither of us are at all familiar with what goes on at these meetings, i've never attended one - but this was a very important meeting and without going into all the details (some of which i don't really understand) the board of directors for the past few years seem to have been doing some damage.....basically a call to attend this meeting was made to whole membership, which is quite large!  So, it was very intense and very interesting....with the desired effect of replacing about 90% of the board, included the top 2 spots!   There was a general sigh of relief, especially from those that actually run the Centre, and i might they add do an amazing job of it all!

I love our Craft Centre, they do so much to promote artists and craftspeople on the island, a very important and integral part of our community. I've been part of this organization for the 16 years i've been living here, and they welcomed me so warmly when i first approached them to carry my pottery in the gallery.  I still sell well up there, which reminds me i better get them some mugs soon :)

Lunch was great, and it was a rare chance to visit with some of my fellow artists, such a treat!

But wow, it was rather exhausting - so i took a nap :)
