Bird's eye view

Nothing much happening today, just relaxing and enjoying what was apparently about 16 degrees C high.  So much for a hoar frost holiday - I almost needed my shorts & tee-shirt!

Drove down to Ohau c just to see what was happening - an eerie experience.  Not a single person fishing along the canal......not a single car on the road .....all the fish farms locked up for the day, then down in my swallow shooting area...........not a single swallow to be seen.  I wondered at one point whether I was in a movie!

Back to base and a late afternoon walk reassured me I was not alone......chatted to vanning neighbours and a fisherman who sadly didn't catch anything.  Lucky for me that the scaup were on the march paddle towards the lake........
