Spring???

The sun shone all day. The temperature has ranged from 7C first thing to 17C mid-afternoon. The birds have been singing fit to bust, giving it real laldy. They obviously think it's spring. I have been outdoors all day, enjoying the feeling of heat on my skin (T-shirt conditions) and getting on with some excellent work in the garden.

It is amazing how a warm day can energise me.

But it will be a nasty surprise for all of us tomorrow when today's minimum temperature is tomorrow's maximum, and 28mm of rain will fall. I have already laid the potbelly fire in anticipation of a cosy day in the study.

These pansies have appeared in the ex-onion bed, which I am unable to clear because their blooms are providing me such delight every time I catch sight of them.

Bean has made the best of every bit of heat, moving from one sun-baked deck to the next as the day progressed. Happy dog...
