Cottonwood Pass

Not too far from our campsite we stopped at cottonwood pass for some great views and hiking. The Sawatch range is seen here with a bit of the Elk range in the far left side. The Elk mountain range contains world famous, and world expensive, Aspen and Snowmass. They were spot on when naming this Cottonwood pass, there were cottonwood seeds everywhere! Enough that Lily and I both were getting a little irritated by it! Whidbey, our dog, was trying to pick them out of the air, it was very cute!
