Farewell

A very emotional day as F’s Primary 7 teacher is leaving the wee primary school she joined 15 years ago at the age of 24, I was 39 working in the office. She was truly and inspiration and infectious enthusiasm she gave her all to a class that will never forget her. We shared so many fun times recreating Harry Potter, the Muppets, The Apprentice, Big Brother, always game.

And now F is 24, Hayley is 39 and I’m ….
Sometimes nostalgia stops you and makes you realise the passing of time, watching the videos that had been sent in of colleagues and past pupils and how we’ve all changed. It was a happy sad afternoon.
A lovely hug with Hayley as she leaves to pastures new, children, parents and staff all in tears. Great send off.
