Celebrity Eclipse fae Blackhill
A lovely calm day, mostly cloudy and mild. Sunshine after work into early evening, now breezy and cloudy again.
A day working on my own. The morning was delivering wheelie bins around Lerwick and Bressay, wheelie bin repairs in Cunningsburgh this afternoon. Headed into the garden after work, mowed the lawn, and some weeding. A lazy evening, I did manage bedtime walkies with Sammy.
The ferry this morning went out of sync, due to an emergency ambulance run, a poor soul with a broken leg. A finally got across, but had a lengthy wait for my return. I took a moment for a brisk walk, and the view was worth it. The last occupant was lighthouse keeper, Jeemie Yates. Looking down over the harbour and seeing the Celebrity Eclipse moored, made me think how interesting it must have been during the wars, or further back in the 19th century, with all those old vessels coming and going from Lerwick. Taken at Blackhill Cottage, Daal, Bressay.
