Queen Elizabeth
Early start this morning thanks to a Diabetes Eye Clinic. New venue for me, usually go to the Community Hospital in Ruthin but I'm now sent to the Community Health Centre in Bala. All good apart from the drops in the eyes. Remembered to hydrate them well beforehand with "artificial" tears. Helped with the stinging.
Came straight home and promptly fell asleep!
Woke to my phone beeping and lovely choir friend organising a coffee and cake catch-up for Friday. Looking forward to that, especially as it's in a cafe in a garden centre. Much browsing of flowers will be had :)
Blip is a wonderful rose just blooming on my patio. It's Queen Elizabeth. I bought it last year. I've been looking for this particular rose for a while. I have very fond memories of this rose during my childhood and teens. My Mum was a rose fan and one of the flower beds at home was full of Queen Elizabeth. Tall, majestic, robust plants with a multitude of gorgeous pink blooms. The house during summer was always full of vases of these. Happy memories.
