Hearing A Bird….

….or a dozen!

I decided to take the short drive to Biddulph Country Park after school drop off. The main reason was to try the Merlin app again and it didn’t disappoint.

The tree canopy was a cacophony of bird calls and after much standing around, listening and taking it all in, I started to recognise the more unusual calls.

Apart from the usual woodland birds, the app picked up a goldcrest, a spotted fly catcher, and nuthatches.

A lovely relaxing morning which I really needed.
