Wednesday: #DayOfTheSeafarer

My paternal ancestors were seafarers, I grew up with stories which my father told me about his father Captain Thomas Owen, we have our own seafarer too, namely The Sailor, who still works in a maritime related job but land based - this was him when he was a cadet on the container ships:

Weather was grey and grim for most of the day, I walked “around the block” this morning. Rain arrived at tea time, just very fine rain and wind picked up too.

Did a quick dash around the garden for something different for today’s Blip:
Top Row, left to right: Cauliflower seedlings variety “Snowball”, blackcurrant bush covered in very small green currants.
Bottom Row, Red Gooseberries which I’ll collect to freeze and an Arum Lily which has decided to flower this year
