Life through the lens...

By ValC

Two by two.

It’s five weeks since we visited Rodley Nature Reserve, and it had certainly grown up.
Lots of wild flowers.
The cygnets had hatched and were now growing up.
Highlight was the dozens of damselflies, and so was pleased with this capture for today’s blip.
Extra collage of a white egret, Cinnabar moth, the swan family, small tortoiseshell butterfly, and the sand martins nest bank.

On the way home we called at Metz, cheesemonger, Sunny Bank Mills, Farsley, Leeds.
Had a lovely chat with Emmannuelle Metz. A very knowledgeable lady from Paris, and now living in Leeds. She opened the shop last November.
Bought three cheeses, including a French cheese from Langres, which she had washed the rind in Filey Bay Whisky. As we have visited the distillery this was a must.

Back home the sun had come out, so we plated up the cheeses, opened a bottle of French rosé and enjoyed a feast sat outside in the garden.
Almost like being on holiday in France !
All the cheeses were delicious too.
See extra.
