Holehird Gardens

My first visit to Holehird Gardens this morning.  What a beautiful place and there is a good view towards the central fells.  The gardens host the National Collections for Astilbe, Daboecia, Meconopsis and Polystichum as well as the Lakeland Collection for Hydrangea.  I was almost too late for the beautiful blue Himalayan Poppies (Meconopsis) but there were just one or two left for me to photograph.  I will revisit next year a little earlier to try to see them in their full glory.
