Caught Between...

...a river and a hard place, she's wearing.  Our daughter (former Navy pilot) is a strong swimmer and a daredevil just like her father.  Over the years, the musician has led us snorkeling down many a whitewater rapid. It is not without its risks, though we do much scouting before we climb down the river bank to the water.

The Merced is emerald green with a visibility of 30+ feet, remarkable for a wild river. For reference: we are 35 miles downstream from Yosemite; beginning at Briceberg we are 5 miles down a dirt road, 2 miles down a dirt trail.
