Fairy pool

Today we weeded some more and planted herbs. I went through and put more soil around the tomatoes to give them a little more support. They are still looking rough.
We also went on a nature walk over to the park that is nearby. The kids gathered sticks, leaves, feathers, pine needles... anything that might work as a paint brush. Back at school we assembled our brushes and experimented to see how they would work. It was mostly a success.
While we were at the park a couple of the girls wanted to show me the fairy pool. It is in the curved root of a big cottonwood tree. It is full of water from the sprinklers. I thought it was pretty neat.
