Cherbourg and Bayeux

The crossing was as pleasant as a boat crossing can be but I was relieved to see land as we came into Cherbourg.

Then just a short journey to the municipal campsite at Bayeux, where we are staying for the first few days. As you can see from the photo taken from the site it is only a short walk into the town.

Had some very very good news to start our holiday - so we may have had a nice bottle of Bordeaux to celebrate with.
