A goose from Canada

It’s about time I updated the position regarding the sales of houses in Kent. Both are sold subject to contract! Doreen’s within 3 days and our details were finalised while we were on Shetland and sold before we left the islands.

The chains are short too, just our house in our chain and only one other house in Doreen’s. Even so, lots can still go wrong and it may take 3 months or more for completion. We now have to find that place in Cumbria.

Which is why there was a reference on Sunday to filling in property forms. We were doing the same this morning for our house using a dreadfully slow and frustrating app. In the end, after talking to the solicitor we went around to collect paper forms for Doreen’s house. Having done the forms once, it should be much quicker to complete those for Doreen’s house.

A morning g of frustration was balanced by a restorative walk through the Vinters Valley Nature Reserve where we stopped to watch nature, this goose, a family of geese and various other waterfowl just being.

We continued on to Cotswold Outdoor store to successfully find some over trousers for me. This evening I watched the final day of the England v India men’s cricket game which was a fabulous win for England.
