Driving

We have started our long journey home. We are a third of the way there and have crossed the border into our home country. In two days we will hopefully be home.
We passed Ii, where a long river (iijoki) flows into the sea. It was once a big place for log driving. And that is what Finnish artist Sanna Koivisto wants to honour with her sculpture. 
We stopped here for fika and  and enjoyed freshly baked, still warm buns at a local heritage museum.
