I was looking for 
some peace and calm this morning.
I drove to Tranquille.

I didn't have an early start this morning. It was 7:30 when I backed the car out. I'd decided to go west where the sky was clearing a bit. 

My surprise was finding a small flock of turkey vultures along the rail lines. Some were on the ground, some were perched on fence posts. These are summer residents who will depart for South America in the fall. Since they are carrion feeders I wondered if they'd found something along the tracks. 

I drove to the end of the road to get this fuzzy shot of the osprey coming into the nest, a shot through my car window. It was very fast this morning, coming in and out a high speed. The wild mustard was much easier to catch! 

We've had rain over several days so the wetlands have expanded. Shots of the farm, the waterways and my mountains beyond the pond were challenging as mosquitoes found me quickly. 

I'm hoping for a quiet day at home.
