Maggy on the breakwall
It's been one of those days where I have achieved very little other than heading to the hardware store and picking up a few items. Nothing exciting mind you. I have found some rat droppings in the house when I came back from Sydney. Horrors. I need to find out how it/they got in and I have purchased the doings to see it's/their demise.
There have been two cases of Leptospirosis in Newy since the floods. Rats are carriers and Maggy can't be vaccinated because of her autoimmune condition so unfortunately for the rats they have to go. She had a visit to the vets yesterday and we discussed the vaccination. My vet has done a bit of research but is standing firm on Maggy not getting it. She had cut a nail when in Sydney and seems to have a bit of an infection so she is on a double course of antibiotics. Hopefully that will clear it up. She will go back in three weeks and we will discuss having a cyst removed. If the nail/nail bed has not improved, she might get an x-ray to see what's going on. It doesn't seem to be affecting her in any way and as you can see, she is a happy girl on our walk this evening.
