The Cabbage Tree…..

At dawn this morning. This cabbage tree is growing on the banks of the river near the footbridge the leads from the Purkiss Street entrance. The tree was much smaller and bushier this time last year. It has grown very nicely and quickly. It was a very frosty start to the day. Cold enough to light the wood fire and keep it going.
I had a lovely visitor from Wellington this morning. Ruby loved her and her gift of a toy and chews. My visitor was another “Liz”….. we had a busy but fun time together .
