Clematis Jackmanii Superba
** Backblip for Friday **
I didn’t get nearly as much done at home as I had hoped, because once again it was a hot and humid day. I struggled to fix two shelves inside the widest of the new wardrobes. I got all the little brackets screwed in successfully, despite getting quite sweaty inside the confines of the cupboard. However, each shelf was extremely heavy and unwieldy to lift and then manoeuvre into position so that it slotted accurately onto all the brackets. The top shelf proved impossible to get into the wardrobe because the door hinges were in the way, so I had to remove the bottom shelf again which I’d just managed to heave into place. I was by now perspiring heavily and gasping for breath with the sheer physical effort, cursing myself for being a lone and feeble female. Many would have given up at this point, but I tend to become rather stubborn in this type of situation and will not give up. After much further struggling, I eventually managed to get both shelves in place before collapsing in a heap into the sofa to recover with a glass of cool water.
The garden was nice to go out in by early evening, and I noticed that the purple clematis was looking splendid climbing out of the top of some very tall shrubbery.
