Hot Mama

Today was our hottest day yet. It was 35 C, feeling like 46 C.  At work, there was a large number of staff absent, and two of our 'kids' went home ill before lunch time. It was a little chaotic but we made it through the day.  Three more days with the kiddos and four more days before summer holidays start.

Despite the heat, this little lady (and she really was little in comparison to most Snapping Turtles I have seen), was on the side of the road resting up after laying eggs.

On the way to work, I saw a fox cross a very busy four lane street, in front of me.  Wish I had my camera beside me...oh well. When I got to work, a friend showed me photos from when she golfed last night - a muskrat kit and two coyote pups!  On the golf course, nonetheless!!  I  need to take up golfing....
