Luscious Gardenia

As predicted, our weather is scorching today. It is 96°F in the shade. But it was cool enough this morning for me to enjoy breakfast with my blooming gardenia bush by the front porch. Oh, how fragrant. Hubby and I then picked about 2 quarts of blueberries. The rest hopefully will be ripe by Thursday. I probably had over two quarts in the refrigerator. I bagged those that I froze this weekend, washed and froze that many more and have refrigerated the rest. I sent Renee a pint and put away some for my sister. Hubby finished cutting up the tree that fell last Friday while I worked inside. He picked up BBQ and sides from Renee as well as all my containers from the party. He went to pick up the camper after his shower and lunch. We will be camping on Fort Meade this weekend; Parker has his last tournament that we can attend in Elkridge. We will be camping in Virginia when he plays in Hershey. It’s a shame because we love that area. Hubby parked the camper in the cul de sac. Chris and Chase will help him get it in our driveway. That’s always such a challenge. But I need it there for the first trip as there is so much to put in the camper. Hubby will bring all our camping supplies from the basement so I can inventory everything. I have menus planned and a grocery list ready for Thursday. We’ll have a quiet night in the a/c. Wishing you a comfortable evening. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “I love all things that are indescribable, like the taste of an avocado or the smell of a gardenia.” - Barbra Streisand
