Forrest Beach, Queensland.

This is looking back towards where the caravan park is. The trees that are overturned on the left are the results of Cyclone Yasi that went through this area a couple of years ago.
There were 2 whales going past this morning, & there was a small boat & a kayaker out there too. When I saw them the boat was on the left, and the kayaker on the right with the whales in between them. The whales then swam right past the kayaker!! He must have been so close to them. I used the 400mm lens, & you can make out that the person in the kayak is taking photos (well, it looks like he is using a camera or something)
There was an article in the paper a couple of days ago about people going too close to whales, there is a rule that you shouldn't be any closer than 100m from them. It makes sense.
