TAKING STOCK OF THE SITUATION
A busy day today. Just getting Garron's room ready and doing some general dusting etc.
I've also been checking out my family history starting with maternal Grandfather William Parnell. He sadly died when I was just 4 years old so my memory of him is very fague indeed. I've learnt a lot about him though and it's interesting.
Also sorting through photos, stacks and stacks of them. Family photos are being treasured but friends of parents whom I never knew or places |I never went to or know are being discarded.
Mind you this is not too difficult because for every place he visited from about 20 years ago, maybe more, he wrote a very descriptive story with some of his drawings and photos so I'm thinking of maybe getting them all together and putting them into a book just to keep not to publish.
This is some of the stocks that are coming up in our garden (hence the title) - not really opened today but they still look lovely like this - they kind of remind me of nature's fireworks.
