Surfing the Sun

You can't see it very clearly but this boy had a wooden board (like a mini surf board), which they jump on and 'surf' across the sand when the tide is low. He was mid air as I took this shot.

We spent the entire day at the beach today; watching it change from a calm sea with a few lapping waves that built throughout the day to become fearsome rip curls, which only the brave would dare battling against. By late afternoon it had calmed again and was more like a swimming pool wave machine with foaming jacuzzi like water.
We left the beach at 8pm and there were still lots of people enjoying the last bit of warmth from the sun. It's due to rain tomorrow so we'll have to find something else to do. We'll wait and see...
