Watching the hour

My grandson and his family had all their family over for his birthday celebration. While we all chatted with one another, my grandson sat apart with the gift that needed his attention... watching the minutes run by on his watch. In the extra some of his relatives in one halve of the circle. We all enjoyed a happy day together. My daughter married into a family who celebrates all their anniversaries together always; a custom we did not strictly hold up ourselves in our years.
