The longest day.

This evening we went on a family outing to try to see the sun set on the longest day.  We chose to go to the windfarm as it is on high open moors with panoramic views.  There weren't many people around but we chose to do a 3 mile hike to one of the hillocks to get the best view possible.  It turned out to be a bit disappointing as it was rather cloudy and the sun on the horizon was more of a tiny dot in the distance.  
We had a picnic of Tunnock's snowballs, a local delicacy - the Tunnocks factory is just a few miles from our town -  and as the sheep were getting a bit noisy at our presence, we returned to the cars about 11 pm when there was still some daylight.
