Set a good example by their elders
I've been looking with dread at the huge number of lettuce seedlings in the seed tray into which I dropped too much seed three weeks ago. Even though they are a bit small for potting up, they'll need room to flourish while I'm at Glastonbury and I'd allocated today and tomorrow for that. As it turned out, I did them all today, some under very welcome drizzle. Then I counted them. Exactly one hundred. They won't all survive, but if they did that would be a lettuce a day for over three months. Then there's the ones I planted before going to Sicily.
Good thing I love lettuce.
