2 Boys, 2 Men, 3 Women & a Lock-side Salesman
Today was just plain fab. Too many photos to choose from (we had a proper tourist style grand day out, cameras, butties, tea, coffee & all) and I almost blipped one of those Pentax in-camera collages, but ended up with this instead.
This guy sells free range eggs, fire wood, coal, fenders & all things canal related. Not exactly your door to door salesman and is not driven by commissions either. But more by the good old fashioned British weather regardless of the trade.
He was sitting rather comfortably on a larger-than-usual wooden rope bollard, camolflague jacket, green wellies & tweed hat......you get the picture. So it was just a case of " do you mind if I take your pic....". A bit nervy for some when talking to strangers, but I often find it easier to ask random people than people I know.
And I tipped (commissioned) him too.
The day ended brilliantly, except that it rained (horrible drizzle) during the last couple of hours. What took nearly 10 hours on the boat (including a lunch stop) took only 22 minutes by car as I dropped the others off at Whitchurch so they could get back home for a bit of Sat night TV & chippy tea.
Us three watched Tarzan on DVD as we could not get a TV signal!
Happy Days!
