The Footbridge to the Old Pony Club Grounds……

The water body shown here is Doctors Creek near the confluence with the Taylor River. A distinctly chilly start to the day. A frost, not as heavy as some we have had so far but cold enough for me. There were very few folk or dogs out and about. Ruby was still objecting to her head halter. “Tough” I told her. Later in the morning friends picked me up and we drove to Westwood, a shopping/business precinct on the outskirts of Blenheim. We had a great catch-up over coffee at a nice cafe. Lots of laughs and chit chat. Later, a nice easy day at home. Thank goodness we are past the shortest day and now have spring to look forward to.
