Rest Break

So we were expecting a blazing sunny day today... instead it was mainly overcast, but warm, a few light showers, some lightning in the evening in the distance but far enough away so we couldn't hear any thunder. Having chopped down a couple of trees last week I finally got around to cutting them up to reduce our pile of branches and we made a good start on it. Afterwards, I noticed these 2 butterflies resting on this rock... every so often one would fly off and returh to the same spot 30 seconds later. I never really realised they had that level of direction and co-ordination to find their way back, maybe it was the heat of the rock in the sun.
