Phalaenopsis

This hasn't flowered since I got it 6 years ago. My sons then girlfriend gave it to me because I had given her my bicycle, she used to run alongside the girls when they were out so I said she may as well have mine as I never used it (at my age) I didn't want any money for it so she bought me this, it was in full flower, but it never flowered since. now it is in full bloom with more to come.

Gosh it's been so hot today, it was around 80f in our conservatory so apart from a very early walk with Tanzy I haven't been very far or done anything much, except read my book and did a few puzzles. They keep telling us that us old people have to be careful in this heat, well I am all for that, so I am being careful and keeping hydrated, no not booze but lots of water and tea or coffee.

I think some parts of the country will have had rain, but up to press no rain except for a very short drizzle for about 10 minutes this afternoon. We are awaiting for the storm they say is coming, with hailstones like golf balls,
