Brian's Bits

By Kanyl

My favourite "weed".

First seen here, in the extra.  I re-found it in '17 and collected seed in August; manage to lose them all and found one plant a year or three later; in a crack in the cement beside "The Wagon".  There's now a second one in a corner of the Border.
Any ID I'd be grateful for.  Early on it seemed to be "Nettle-leaved bellflower - BUT - today when I looked I found THIS LOT & thought I'd keep it here.

"Large campanula species in the UK include the Giant Bellflower(Campanula latifolia) and Canterbury Bells (Campanula medium).

Canterbury Bells (Campanula medium)
Description: Grows up to 1 meter tall with large, cup-shaped flowers in shades of blue, purple, and white.
Habitat: Often found in gardens and cultivated areas, but can escape into the wild.
Flowering Period: Flowers from June to September.

Both species are part of the Campanulaceae family and are known for their attractive flowers, making them popular among gardeners and wildlife."

IF it is an escapee the nearest habitation is, literally miles away.
