Musing of a Lady

Music

Today has been lovely. Errands have been run and Little Man had a play date. I often bank on Little Man being a pretty decent alarm clock, but was surprised that he slept in until 8 o'clock. We quickly got ready for the day.

Little Man spent several hours with Timann and her family. She collected us at 9 and dropped me off at Bodegraven Station then headed back to her place in Alphen aan den Rijn.

I caught the train to Utrecht Central. I wanted to do a bit of shopping, without having Little Man with me. I got a new suitcase from Primark and some clothes, as well as a few other things. About thirteen years ago, I bought a suitcase from Primark and its been an amazing case. However, its now full of my parents' things, so I'm not able to take it with us to England next month.

I then headed back to Utrecht Central Station. When I got there I discovered that the Nederlandse Spoorwegen¹ NS orchestra was playing some gorgeous music. I had to stop and listen for a bit, before getting the train to Alphen aan den Rijn. Timann's husband, Luwellen, and Little Man collected me from the station and drove us home.

We had have had a lovely rest of the afternoon. Little Man and I have just relaxed inside. Its gone up to 30⁰C (86⁰F) and thankfully the house has been cooler. I was able to get the new clothes I bought into the washing machine. I can't bare the smell that lingers on newly bought clothes and always wash them before Little Man or I wear them. It's drying outside in the sun. It should dry very quickly.
