The First Day of Summer
Well the first day of Summer is also the Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year! Of course this is in the Northern Hemisphere.
I wanted to represent today with photos taken at different times right up until the sunset. I started at 5 am with the crescent moon taken from my balcony, then the window crystals catching the first rays of sunshine and creating tiny moving rainbows on my wall. Then Honey on her cooling pad with the sun shining on her fur!
The roses are from my morning walk, but the orange one in the middle of the bottom row is mine, so is the yellow Coreopsis on the left of the middle row.
When I saw those colourful clouds rising in the sky, I knew that I had to get out for the last photo of the day before the storm and rain and hail!
The rain is lowering the temperatures most deliciously! I pulled my big pots of flowers closer to the wall so the flowers wouldn't be damaged by the hail!
