New Forest

Beautiful little corner of the world. So lovely and cool on a hot day.
Followed a path we found in a guide book - rubbish directions.
It said it was all on gravelled paths. It didn’t tell us we’d have to leap over muddy marshes and part of the walk was shut off (gate was nailed shut).
Had to cross a busy road to get to the tea room we were heading for but eventually managed to get there in one piece and enjoyed lunch there.
Best bit was having to ford a stream. It was lovely to paddle in the cool water!
To be fair to the book, it did tell us we’d have to do that.
Took our friends to a Lounge restaurant in Christchurch for dinner in the evening then strolled around Christchurch harbour. Pretty place.
