Growing in a gap

Today's back blip is a red hollyhock flower growing out a gap between the pavement and a house. There are rather a few of these on our walk. Unlike the roses in my mother-in-law's garden, the dog is interested in these plants - they must get a lot of canine calling cards on their lower leaves as the dog always give each one a good sniff and then waters them...
