Little Tern

Daughter #2 and I took a detour on our latest trip to RSPB Saltholme to see the little tern colony on the beach at Seaton Carew. What a good decision that was! Not only did we both record a new species for our life lists, but we got to enjoy these fantastic little flyers, as well as a few glimpses of chicks, all within walking distance of an ice cream shop! A perfect star to the day.

We enjoyed over three hours, and almost 50 species, at Saltholme, too. A most rewarding excursion.
