Buzzing

It was buzzing in Holmfirth today, with all sorts of things going on as part of the Arts Festival's 'Big Free Weekend' but, sadly, no big procession this year. I was drumming with Valley Beats samba band, which was great fun, but I'll not post another photo of us here just yet. The Blip shows one of the installations on the art trail along the river.

After drumming we went on to Coopers Yard for a drink, and I met R for the first time. She's also a Valley Beats drummer, and she used to teach with MrM about 30 years ago!

I had intended to go to French dancing later in the afternoon, but Liz H came to meet us and let us know that, as only another dancer had turned up, to was cancelled. So we had another drink and sat and chatted for a while longer.
