Future Kiwis

It will be a good kiwi harvest, but not til December.  The fruits, as you can see, are just beginning to set. They take a very long time to develop. Just last week they were flowers. The plum and the pluot, however, aren’t doing much of anything. Stone fruit just doesn’t work here: it rains when the flowers open, or the wind blows, or it doesn’t blow, it’s too warm, too cold—the perfect combo happens once in a blue moon as they say, and we havent seen that for a long long time.
