It's no longer a joke. 

Caro bought The Big Slipper so that it can sit under her desk at work and she can keep her feet warm. She loves it. "Toasty!" she said.

Apparently her colleagues were amused at first. Then there was a cold day and they were all hovering around asking where she got it*.

Maybe we're not old. Maybe we're cutting edge.
