PURPLE RAIN

It's raining purple in my hanging planter....Dwarf Pansies.  There's also some yellow ones but these just stand out.  Unlike previous years, no robins have decided to nest in the planter.  Prior to that, three years running, I raised baby robins (American Robins...Turdus migratorius).  But those were always in pots with standard size pansies.  Maybe the dwarf variety put them off.  Or was it the unusually cool Spring?
