Life of a bubble maker

Dailbeag beach

It rained through most of the night but had cleared a bit in the morning so the dog walk was at least dry, and we could see the sea. The inevitable happened and I woke up with J’s cold and felt crap. Packed up from the campsite and headed south west along the coast to see the whale bone arch. Its in someone’s garden and celebrated the time a blue whale washed up on the shore near there in the 1920’s. Next stop was the blackhouse at Arnol, fascinating place and the woman who runs the center also knew the friend whose grave I visited yesterday. From there it was down to Shawbost beach. Nice place as there is a loch on one side and the sea on the other. Darwin went swimming in the waves and I tried to fly my kite for the first time but for a change the wind wasn’t enough. Lunch near the beach and a quick nap as we both felt crap before heading to the black house village nearby. Headed over to Dailbeag beach for even more swimming for Darwin and then went over to find the campsite for the night.
