I’ve been so busy today with Instagram posts, binding a flower wreath, finishing 4 garden journals/notebooks, helping out here and there, and then we had an hour long break to celebrate the coming Midsummer.
On my way to the ’coffee break’ I was carrying 2 geraniums for the tables we’d set up, when I spotted a bumblebee in the grass, looking lost. So, I placed one pot on the grass and offered my fingers to the bumblebee and it crawled up on my fingers.
This is a goal I had, to be able to have a bumblebee in my hand, without something between it and my hand. I carried it to a flower, but it didn’t want it. I tried another flower and it moved up on my hand instead. I tried yet another flower and it refused to budge. It was happy where it was. I needed my hand back, so finally I managed to place it on a plant, by turning my hand. It was a cute experience, though! And such a sweet little bumblebee. :)
A coworker helped me take this photo. I had my sword with me and did some practice outside, until it got a bit too crowded.
Yesterday I didn’t take any photos at all.
I went into town for a meeting with a potential new place for work, the city archive. It was a good meeting and the boss there was very nice. He was thinking of different things I could perhaps do… Could I do workshops? Sure, I said, if I feel secure with the topic. Lectures? Yes, same applied there. Tours of the archive? Absolutely! He then pondered a bit on how he could use my Anthropology at the archive.
I told him about my work experience, my hobbies and my steel sword… I figured it was a good way to be remembered. Sword fighting anthropologists.. :D My employment agency supervisor was very satisfied with the meeting and thought I’d get a job there. I told her to hold her horses until we knew for sure. He’ll talk to his coworkers and see who can be my supervisor there, and if they think I can be useful. We’ll know in the end of August.
Now I have two weeks vacation.
