Die Engadiner Nusstorte

I received a parcel last week this pie in it. My Blip friend Christophi, his Finnish wife and their Greater Swiss Mountain Dog are currently on a long holiday here in Finland. Their first stay was in Nauvo and I gave some tips for them, because I've been there so many times. They had taken this special pie with them for me and sent it to Pirkkala from Nauvo. So kind of them! Today we had both children here, so it was finally time to taste it. It was delicious, a real treat! Thank you!!

Engadiner Nusstorte is a traditional sweet, caramelised nut-filled pastry  from canton Graubünden in Switzerland. Christophi told me that each bakery in their region claims to make the best Torta da Nusch, but the very best of the best comes from their village, from Laager’s Bakery. The bakery has been featured in National Geographic article:
