A summer day

Beautiful summer weather today. Temperature just nice I thought, not too hot and not cold. London Road Gardens were lovely and shady for lunchtime walk.

We had an appointment in Canonmills in the morning, so walked through the park where we saw the tufted ducklings mentioned by @Annejohn. There seemed to be seven of them, (extra), difficult to count as they keep bobbing under the water - I note there were eight in Annejohn’s picture though, so looks like we might be one down.

The plumber arrived last night and spent over two hours fixing our boiler leak. Fingers crossed that all is OK as he pointed out that it’s a pretty old boiler now and once one thing is fixed there is a tendency for other bits to fail. He was actually a really lovely guy though, who was very helpful, so we’ve got him coming back next week to do another wee job on the flue.
